Refund and Repair Policy

Item purchases are subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. All sales of handsets and electronics are made expressly conditional upon the buyer’s assent to these terms and conditions.

1. HANDSET/ ELECTRONICS TEST

Customers must ensure, along with the Delivery Courier, that the device is fully functional before completing delivery. They must: check the box to ensure that it contains all component parts; power on the device, make a test call, test the speaker, test the cameras, test all touch points on the device, and other features where possible such as internet connectivity. The sale is considered final and the device is used as soon as the delivery driver has completed the sale and left. If a problem arises with the device after the delivery driver leaves, then the warranty outlined at 2 below applies.

2. WARRANTY

Subject to the Buyer’s obligation to thoroughly check the device as outlined at 1. above, this device is backed by a warranty period of between 1 to 12 months for manufacturer’s defects only, based on device type and brand. Your warranty does not cover the following:

  • Accessories that come packaged with the device including but not limited to chargers, headsets, cases or pouches, memory cards, batteries, adapters, data cables etc.
  • Defects or damage resulting from any misuse or any use that goes against the information included in the phone’s manual.
  • Defects or damage from accidents or negligence.
  • Defects or damage resulting from improper testing, operation, maintenance, installation, and adjustment by any unauthorized personnel or Repair Centre.
  • Alterations or modifications caused by repairs performed by any unauthorized personnel or Repair Centre.
  • Breakage or damage to antennas and screens or displays.
  • Product serial number removed or made illegible.
  • Any device that shows signs of attempts to open, alter or repair by anyone other than a Technician from the Authorized Repair Centre.
  • Batteries that are not charged by the specified manufacturer’s charger.
  • Batteries that are broken or show signs of tampering.
  • Defects or damage caused by food or liquid.
  • All plastic surfaces and all exterior parts are scratched or damaged due to normal use.

Any product found to have a manufacturer’s defect will be covered by the Warranty as outlined above and will be subject to the Repair Policy.

3. EXCLUSION OF ALL OTHER IMPLIED AND EXPRESS WARRANTIES

Except as outlined above, the company disclaims all warranties of any kind. The repair or replacement of the customer device by the Authorized Warranty Center is the sole and exclusive remedy available to the buyer. The decision to repair or replace said device is at the sole discretion of the Authorized Warranty Center and the store does not have the authority to alter the decisions taken by the Warranty Center.

4. REPAIR PROCEDURE

All devices will be evaluated first by the store to determine if they are covered by the warranty. Devices deemed to be In Warranty will be sent to an Authorized Repair Centre and returned to the customer within 21 working days not inclusive of weekends and public holidays. Loaners are not available and no repairs are done on the spot. The customer is responsible for removing their sim cards and/or memory cards from their device. Failure to remove or provide any password protection to unlock the device will result in a charge to the customer to unlock the device. All Warranty Claims require a diagnostic check to be done by CEDI Holdings Limited or our designated Repair Center, if certified defective, the product will be repaired as per the terms and conditions of the warranty. If the product cannot be repaired due to a manufacturers defect, it will be replaced with the same or equivalent or alternative product of the same or lesser value; however, if the same or equivalent or alternative product is higher in cost, the customer is required to pay the difference in cost between the original product and the replacement product. Please keep the original purchase invoice and this warranty document and the original packaging for the future service request. This Warranty does not include failure or malfunctions caused by improper installation, operation, cleaning or maintenance, accident, damage, misuse, abuse, non-CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED modifications to the product, any software programs, normal wear, and tear or any other event, act, default or omission outside CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED’ control. The Repair Center may recover the originally configured operating system that came with the Product. CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED will not restore or transfer any data or software from the Product’s original storage media. If the Product is repaired, all user-generated data may be permanently deleted. This warranty does not offer instant or loaner replacements, however, any customer who purchases a product(s), takes it away & comes back, we will do our best to speed up the warranty process.

5. OUT-OF-WARRANTY CASES

Returning the Product to the CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED Repair Center during the warranty period does not automatically mean that it will be repaired free of charge. Upon receiving Your Product, CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED reserves the right to check the validity of Your Warranty and Your request for Warranty service. If the Warranty Period has lapsed or if any of the exclusions in point 2 apply, your request will be deemed out of warranty (“OOW”). If Your service request is OOW, a Service Charge List with an offer for repair will be provided to You, which You may accept or reject. If You accept the repair, we will provide You with an invoice for the repair labor, spare parts, and other costs stated in the Service Charge List. The repair will only be completed after the invoice is settled in full. To the extent permitted by law, CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED may charge You a diagnostic fee (including transportation costs if any) if Your service request is OOW and you refuse the repair offer; or if Your Product does not require service.

6. ABANDONED PROPERTY

After Your Product has been repaired, or if You do not agree to the repair offer, CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED will return your Product’s original location where your product was submitted for repair. If You do not pick up Your Product, CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED will make attempts to contact you. All item(s) left for repairs are not the responsibility of CEDI Holdings Limited after the respective person(s) have been informed to collect & have failed to do so within one month after the first attempt to contact. Attempts to contact the customers will be done a maximum of three times after which the item(s) will be disposed of or sold to recover repair and diagnostic costs incurred.

CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED reserves the right to claim damages from you, including the cost of storage; to dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations; and any statutory right of lien for unpaid charges.

7. SOFTWARE SUPPORT

Any software delivered with the Product is provided “as-is”. CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED does not guarantee the uninterrupted or error-free operation of any software provided with the Product. This warranty covers the Technical hardware of the Product. CEDI HOLDINGS LIMITED will provide technical support for the Product’s preinstalled software only when it concerns the proper functioning of the hardware. For other problems with the software, we advise You to review the user manuals or other online resources. Third-party software may require support from the respective vendors.
